Terms of use
Last updated: [DATE]
These terms apply when you use Shoppa, the website and booking platform at shoppa-app.com, operated by Steera Technologies (Private) Limited ("Steera", "we", "us"). By using Shoppa you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Shoppa.
1. What Shoppa does
Shoppa helps clients find and book local service providers, including beauty, wellness, health and events professionals, and helps providers show their services and manage bookings. Shoppa is a platform that connects clients and providers. The services themselves are provided by the independent providers, not by Steera.
2. Using Shoppa
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking.
- Give accurate information, and keep your login details private.
- Don't misuse Shoppa: no fake bookings, spam, harassment, fraud, or attempts to break or copy the platform.
3. For clients
- When you book, you're making an agreement directly with the provider for that service.
- Please arrive on time, and cancel as early as possible if you can't make it. Providers may set their own cancellation rules, which will be shown when you book.
- Prices are set by providers. Unless stated otherwise, you pay the provider directly at the appointment.
4. For providers
- You're responsible for the services you offer, your prices, and any licences, permits, insurance and taxes your business needs.
- Keep your profile accurate, including services, prices, availability and photos. Only upload photos you own or have permission to use.
- Honour the bookings you accept, and treat clients' personal information with care, using it only to provide the booked service.
- Fees for using Shoppa will be set out separately before you are charged anything.
5. Payments
Paying through Shoppa (for example with EcoCash) is not available yet. When it is, additional payment terms will apply and will be shown before you pay.
6. Content and reviews
You keep ownership of what you upload, such as photos and descriptions. You allow us to display it on Shoppa and in promoting your profile on Shoppa. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
7. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Shoppa running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, Steera is not responsible for the quality or outcome of services provided by providers, or for disputes between clients and providers, though we will try to help resolve them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded under Zimbabwean law, including consumer protection law.
8. Suspending accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example after repeated no-shows, fake bookings or abusive behaviour.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the "last updated" date and, for important changes, let you know before they take effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
